About Co-Op – Steadfast Community Church

Steadfast Christian Co-Op is currently in session! Our next start date for new students is January 2025, with an enrollment deadline of December 8th, 2024. Please submit an information request form, found below, if you would like more information on enrollment. Open House information will be sent out after filling out an information request form.

Our Early Learning group has one central Biblical theme introduced at each gathering, and there are five main sections to each theme: circle time, Bible exploration with song/movement, ABC & preschool concepts (numbers, colors, shapes), craft/activity, and gross motor movement. Children must be 3 years of age by November 1 of the applicable school year.

Our Primary group focuses on enrichment classes: Music Theory: centralized around hymns that help us focus on God’s truth and memorize Scripture as we learn the Tin D Whistle; Science: the days of creation are used as a structure through which a variety of scientific topics are introduced with experiments; Physical Education: group participation focusing on following directions through stretches, exercises, and involvement in common group games. Enrichment classes may change on a year-to-year basis. Children must be 5 years of age by November 1 of the applicable school year.

What is expected of parents?
- As a not-for-profit co-op, and to help keep fees to a minimum, our program is parent-led. Parents are on a rotating schedule to lead, and all lessons are pre-formatted for the leader. Our parents typically lead 1x, every other month. We attempt to keep lesson prep minimal, as we know that home life is busy. On average, preparing and pulling materials typically takes around 30 minutes of advance time. If it is not your day to lead, you will remain in the classroom with your youngest child enrolled.
When do you meet?
- We currently meet every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month from 9-11 AM at Steadfast Community Church. We participate in additional field trips and activities, such as animal exhibits, farms, cotton-candy making, etc. We are always open to new and engaging ideas!
